Frequently Asked Questions

Sign in and visit Account > Subscriptions. You'll see every recurring subscription you
hold — across every merchant you support — on one page, with the amount, status, and
next billing date for each.

Open the subscription from Account > Subscriptions and click "Cancel at period end."
Your access continues through the end of the period you already paid for — you won't
be billed again, and you keep the benefit until the current cycle closes.

No. Canceling from your portal is always "at period end," never immediate. You keep
full access until the current billing period expires. If you need immediate
cancellation for a specific reason, contact the merchant directly.

Yes. On the subscription detail page, click "Pause subscription." You won't be billed
while the subscription is paused, and you can resume any time from the same page —
no need to start a new subscription.

Open the subscription from Account > Subscriptions. If it's paused, you'll see a
"Resume subscription" button on the detail page. Clicking it restarts billing on the
merchant's normal schedule.

From the subscription detail page, click "Update payment method." You'll be taken to
Stripe's secure Customer Portal, where you can add a new card, change the default
payment method, and manage past invoices. Changes take effect on the next billing
cycle.

Each subscription detail page shows its most recent payments — date, amount, and
status. For a full downloadable invoice history, click "Update payment method" to open
the Stripe Customer Portal, which lists every invoice and lets you download PDFs.

Account > Subscriptions is intentionally cross-merchant. If you support more than one
creator, artist, or business through Equipoise, every active recurring subscription
you hold shows up here in one place so you can manage them together.

A subscription is a recurring purchase of an ongoing commercial benefit (a membership,
a box-of-the-month, a paid podcast archive). A recurring donation is philanthropic —
it supports the merchant without an expected product in return. Both live under
Account, but they're tracked separately because they're different kinds of
commitments with different tax and billing treatment.
